Sujatha Vijayakrishnan

R&D Scientist

Sujatha is a scientist at Ambature, Inc. working with the science team to fabricate and characterize high-temperature superconductor devices. She has several years of experience in experimental condensed matter physics, cryogenic transport measurements, and nanofabrication.

In 2024, Sujatha obtained her PhD in Physics from McGill University. Her doctoral research focused on hydrodynamic electron transport in ultra-high mobility two-dimensional electron gas systems, where she led experiments that advanced the understanding of electron viscosity and collective behavior in mesoscopic semiconductor devices. During this time, she published papers in Nature Communications and Physical Review Research and contributed to several additional collaborative projects resulting in peer-reviewed publications.

She joined the University of Waterloo in 2025 as a postdoctoral fellow, working on quantum devices based on undoped semiconductor heterostructures and performing cryogenic measurements within the Institute for Quantum Computing and the QNFCF.

Outside of research, Sujatha enjoys reading, solving puzzles, hiking, and being involved in the community.
