Bill started his career at Equifax, Inc., an international information-reporting firm, where he held various field and senior corporate positions in operations, sales and marketing. In 1982, he founded Langer Companies in New York to provide information and technology support for the commercial insurance industry.The companies expanded over the years to include offices in New Jersey, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, Ga., Philadelphia, Pa, and Orland, Fl. A national marketing arm was developed and expanded to provide national marketing efforts to firms involved in reporting information to the commercial insurance industry. Mr. Langer’s primary responsibilities were for overall management of business operations.
Other ventures of the Langer Companies included retail stores and real estate development in the greater New York City area. In 2000, Langer Companies moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where the company focuses on acquiring and developing real estate. Responsibilities include site selection, acquisition and overview of development. This included both residential and commercial real estate.
Additional activities included investment in non-real estate ventures in the area of technology, business services industry, and selected hedge fund/market investments.
Mr. Langer has and continues to serve on a number of privately held companies Board of Directors. He is also on Phoenix Country Club Board of Directors; Phoenix Country Club Foundation, Advisory Committee; 100 Club of Arizona Board of Directors. Also serves on the Investment Committee and Automation Committee of the 100 Club; Arizona State University Presidents Club, Membership Committee; Elevate Phoenix Advisory Board to Board of Directors; and Barrow Neurological Foundation, Board of Directors and serves on the Finance Committee of the Foundation.
